Effective October 25, 2026. This policy explains what IPAK-EDU LLC collects through IPAKEDU News Wire (https://ipaknewswire.com) and how it is used.
What we collect
- Issuers: account name and email, the releases you submit, the media-contact details you choose to publish, and order and billing records. Card payments are handled by the payment processor at checkout; we do not store full card numbers.
- Journalists: name, email, outlet, topics, any press-access details you provide, and a record of your consent (date and IP address).
- Readers: standard server logs, an anonymous release view count, and cookies needed for login and checkout. Site statistics are provided by our host.
How we use it
To review, publish and distribute releases; to send the digests and embargo notices you asked for; to process orders and credits; to answer support requests; to prevent abuse; and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Services that process data for us
- WordPress.com (Automattic) hosts the site and its data.
- The payment processor shown at checkout handles payments.
- Anthropic receives the text of submitted releases for AI-assisted editorial review. Release text is not used to identify readers.
- Crossref and the U.S. National Library of Medicine (PubMed) receive the DOIs and PMIDs you cite, to verify them.
- Search engines are notified of new release addresses (IndexNow and sitemaps).
- Syndication partners operated by IPAK-EDU, including https://ipakedu.online and https://americanlifemag.com, may republish published releases.
Published releases are public
Releases, their media-contact details and their verification reports are public once published and may be copied by others. Do not include personal information in a release that you do not want published.
Email choices
Journalist digests are sent only after you confirm your email, and every digest has a one-click unsubscribe link. Account and order emails are sent as part of the service.
Retention and your rights
We keep account and order records as long as your account is open and as required for tax and legal purposes. You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by writing to info@ipak-edu.org. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or state privacy laws; we will honor valid requests.
Children and changes
The Wire is not directed to children under 13 and accounts require users to be 18 or older. We will post updates to this policy here with a new effective date. Contact: IPAK-EDU LLC, 20714 Shady Lane Ave, Saint Clair Shores, MI 48080, info@ipak-edu.org.
